Please join us in welcoming our new executive director, Hannah Jordan. Hannah and her family have lived in the Falls Church area for over 20 years. Her name may sound familiar to you as she previously volunteered at the shelter as an event planner and later served as vice chair and chair of the board. Hannah received a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College, and a Masters in Arts and Teaching from UNC Chapel Hill. She has taught French, Spanish and English as a Second Language and has been teaching ESOL at Even Start, a family literacy program in Arlington County, since 2013. Hannah looks forward to working with the board and the community in service to the homeless in our area.
The Board of Directors has also elected a new Chair of the Board, Robert Fletcher. Bob and his family have lived in Falls Church for 19 years. Bob has been a member of the Board of the Shelter for three years and most recently served as Vice Chair of the Board.
